Text Animation Bullets can't drag them anymore
Can someone tell me what's going on with aligning bullets. I used to be able to select a list of text items, animated by fade in, Effect Options - By Paragraph (see text box 1) and drag the entire list along the timeline. I would deselect the line at it's entrance point, and drag the remaining to the next entrance point, deselect a line, drag and deselect until I had all the bullet points lined up at their correct entrance points.
Now I cannot drag the remainder of the list (see text box 2). When I try to drag the list it only will drag one and leave the rest.
What the heck? This really impacts work flow.

I just tested on a new build using your prescribed method and I did not have any issues.

If I don't hit "play" it's fine. They drag as intended. When I hit play or press the space bar I see a screen flicker (that's new) and the bullets disconnect. This happens in either normal timeline or when I undock it. I am on build v3.101.34961.0

Thanks for the information. I am not sure if I understood the "hitting play" in the process. Are you trying to adjust these items while the playhead is moving?

When animating text, specifically bullet items on a timeline (fade in animation, Effect Options - By Paragraph) I move all the separate bullets to the beginning of the timeline (I'm in undocked mode for the timeline), I have selected all text items (paragraphs) by clicking to top item then mouse over the bottom and shift-click. The timeline has a voiceover. I click the 'play' icon in the lower left. As the narration/playhead reaches an entry point for a bullet item I stop the playhead, move the entire list of bullet items to that entry point. I 'ctrl-click' the top bullet-item which deselects it and continue by click 'play' again. At the next bullet entry point I pause the playhead, move the remaining bullet items to that entry point, deselect the one I want (ctrl-click) and repeat until all bullet items are in their respective entry points.
I have noticed that if I simply click on each bullet item that still needs to be moved down the timeline, they will relink and move together. didn't used to have to do this...

Interesting. I cannot say that I have ever synced audio this way. I use the cuepoint feature instead. But you are right, if it did work before, it is not now. It looks like the items remain selected, but they don't, you have to reselect them, which would defeat the purpose of doing it this way.
It might be worth submitting the case and letting the support engineers look into it. It could be a regression, or there could be a reason for this to change.

This is faster than cue points. I'll open a case...

Have you tried using queue points instead? Might be more efficient for what you're trying to do.

queue points are too slow...our programs are loaded with bullet points. This is the fastest way to manage them. I have a work around, it's just an extra step. Would like it to go back to the way it was but if frogs could fly....

This has been confirmed as a bug in the latest release. Only fix for now is to revert to version 3.100 of storyline. Works fine in that version.
Hi GeorgeMoureau!
Sorry to hear you're having trouble formatting Bullet Points in Storyline!
Great move on opening a support case. I see that you've connected with my teammate, Carlo. As you've shared, we can confirm this behavior is related to a bug in Storyline 360. This bug causes:
- The inability to adjust the timing of multiple Bullet List items, set to a 'By Paragraph' animation.
We've included your voice in the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready. In the meantime, as a workaround, please try either of the following options:
- Downgrading to Storyline 360 version 3.100.34725.0, where this bug cannot be observed.
- Adjust the list items one by one first, then return them to their original position. When all list items are moved while the timeline is still playing, moving the last selected list item will move all selected list items at once.
Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!

A quick update, this problem was corrected with the latest release of Storyline. Thanks for fixing this!
