text fild...select and delete command not work

When i post wrong answer in text fild. and i was trying to rewrite answer again the existing text does'nt earse by selecting text and pressing delet command.

I have another issue in same file ,
1) After entering correct answer in first filed. Show the response message box ,
After the response message box, when revisit the base layer, cursor doesn't move to the next text filed automatically.
2) In second text field, entering the wrong answer show the response message box.
After the response message box, when revisit the base layer cursor doesn't move to second text field, it remain at first field.
Your assistance is greatly appreciate.
