Text missing in course for select Learners
Hello!
There is a slide that has prompts for the Learner to fill out specific information in text fields. Please see below.
There is no issue on the Storyline backend, and I tested the course in both Chrome and Edge. A few learners have already completed the course with no issue.
However, I am getting emails so far from only a couple learners that this is how that prompt appears to them, which obviously keeps them from advancing in the course:
Again, I tested the course in both Chrome and Edge, and those that have experienced an issue appear to be taking the course in Chrome. We have Workday LMS.
Any ideas on what the culprit could be? Thank you!
Hi Shauna!
It sounds like some of the text from your Text-Entry field isn't being displayed after uploading the course to an LMS. I'd be happy to help with that!
As a first step, I would suggest testing your course in SCORM Cloud. It's an online LMS environment that can be used to determine whether the issue is with the LMS (Workday) or the Story file itself. If you test your course in SCORM Cloud and it works perfectly, then your issue is likely LMS based.
Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Hello,
No, I am not having an issue with the text-entry field. It is the text box (no variables included) that is appearing abnormally. I am inserting a Line Callout that I write the text prompt in, and that is where the issue lies.
Thanks!

this could be a font problem
check if you have the same font/font style in "Phone" like in "Username"

All the fonts are exactly the same, but I appreciate your thought!
Hello Shauna,
On top of what's already been discussed, try the following troubleshooting steps to see if they help address the behavior:
- Try using a different font for the entire course. You can use the built-in Replace Font feature to quickly change the font that your course is using. Using standard fonts like Arial here could help determine if the behavior is font specific.
- Recreate the line call out object from scratch.
- If you're already working locally, try doing a repair of Storyline 360 if replacing the font or recreating the object doesn't help.
If the issue persists, open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening.
