Text-to-speech editor showing wrong text
Hi Everyone,
I have some great news to share!
We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.126.38052.0, we’ve included essential fixes. One of the bugs we’ve fixed is:
- Closed captions for AI text-to-speech weren't updated after the narration was edited
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let us know if you have any questions about this update or the issue you reported.
Hi EmmaGirton,
Thanks for sharing the additional context.
I can confirm that we have this behavior logged as a bug in Storyline. This bug causes Text-to-Speech scripts to revert to the original script in a duplicated Slide.
I've included your voice in the bug report that's being tracked, so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready.
As a workaround, we suggest:
- Create a duplicate of the Slide as you normally would.
- On the duplicate slide, delete the Text-to-Speech object.
- From the original slide, copy the Text-to-Speech object.
- Paste it onto the duplicate slide.
- Edit the script on the duplicate slide's Text-to-Speech object as needed.
Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this slowed you down!
Please add me to the list of those notified when this is fixed. My situation matches this exactly.
