Text to speech speed
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we've included important fixes and new features!
One of the new features we've included:
- Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Ideally for both. When I first started using text to speech I felt it went to fast and was using periods and commas ALOT. After I have made a few courses I am now being asked by the Learners for this control. I have a few that know the material and want to zoom through and I have a few that are not native speaking English and need it to be even slower.

I would say that this is primarily for me as the creator, for me I prefer to use an alternative software to create my text to speech as it gives me the ability to slow down or speed up the voices and this helps when trying to tie in narration to activity on the screen. The alternative software also gives me the ability to change the tone of the voice from friendly to formal which is also a great option when creating elearnings that have narration and conversation sections.
