Text to speech speed
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we've included important fixes and new features!
One of the new features we've included:
- Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!
My top priority is that the learner needs the ability to change the speed. I have native english speakers that want it faster, and english as a second language speakers that prefer a slower speed. I want to give them control over the speed to meet their learning needs. I currenly provide the transcript in the notes section for them to read in case the audio is too fast/slow for them.
As a creator, however, i'd like that ability as well, i've spent many hours tweaking and "tricking" the text to speech to pronounce and have the cadence i need!
