Thumbnails on Videos
Did this feature ever get added? It's pretty standard and this comment was 3 years ago. Thanks!
Hello JenniferDedrick,
Thanks for reaching out! We don't have any updates to share at this time. I've gone ahead and shared your insight with our product team. We'll be sure to share any updates in this thread so all are in the loop.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Any updates? This is a baseline feature in most learning platforms. Not being able to set a video thumbnail makes courses look unfinished and removes a basic layer of author control.
Given the simplicity of implementing an image cover for video components, it’s surprising this hasn’t been addressed in several years of feedback. Can you clarify whether this is planned, or if it’s simply not going to be supported?

Thanks for calling this out, RN-Training! You’re right that not being able to control video thumbnails can make a course feel unfinished.
At this time, Rise 360 doesn’t support setting a custom thumbnail or poster image for videos. We know this limits visual control, and this request has been shared with our Rise product team based on ongoing feedback from the community.
We don’t have updates to share yet, but we’ll be sure to post here if that changes. For now, the best workaround is adjusting the first frame of the video before uploading.
