Timeline zoom
Shouldn't the timeline zoom support zooming out so the entire timeline can be seen... even for long audio tracks?
Is this a limitation, a bug, or is there a workaround like a keyboard or mouse wheel zoom?

you can shrink and enlarge it using the slider on the right , but it is not possible to get the whole timeline on one screen for long timelines

has this been addressed in an update?
Hi Mark,
It's still not set up to be able to zoom out to the entire length of the timeline, as I suspect there is a point at which it's zoomed too far to be useful depending on your length?

You can totally do that by scrolling with your cursor right on top of the timeline, where the seconds are.

Somewhat related..If im at say zoom level 3. How can I change the zoom and stay at the same point in the timeline. Using the slider left of the timeline the field of view always moves away to where I was just working?
Hi Drew!
I'm not sure that I'm following what you are asking here. Could you share a bit more details, perhaps how to replicate what you are describing (zoom level 3) and a screenshot would be super handy :)

I don't know what screenshot would illustrate the issue. I may have found a different way to accomplish what I want though using the playhead and wheel scroll.
What I'm explaining is that if I'm viewing the timeline at say 54 seconds, I want to move the zoom slider in and out and keep my view at 54 seconds.
Hi Drew,
Thanks for clarifying! I think I understand, but to be sure, I recorded a quick video to demonstrate. Is this what you're seeing in your file, as well?

Yes, though you'll see the result better if the timeline was much longer say 2 minutes? I'm guessing it zooms to the playhead...rather than current view.
Hi Drew,
That makes sense - and yes, it does appear that the zoom remains at the playhead versus the cue point that you've clicked on. It sounds like a good idea to pass along as a feature request!
