Tracking multiple criteria and reporting completion to LMS based on multiple criteria completion.

We want to track a learner viewing number of slides first, then passing a quiz second before the completion status is sent to LMS and we need the quiz score in the LMS.  But we understand that Storyline only sends the first completed criteria which in our case would be viewing slides only since the quiz is at the end.  Short of using variables tracking slide views and adding quiz score to a trigger of course completion, is there any other way to do this.
