Transfer ownership of rise course
As an admin, how do i transfer ownership of a course from one employee to another without subsequently deactivating their account?
ex: Employee 1 is on maternity leave and created a course, Employee 2 needs to make edits to the course but no one has visibility to it. I don't want to deactivate Employee 1's account but need to transfer ownership so it's shared.
How do I do this?

As the administrator, you can remove the seat of employee on maternity leave, and assign all their courses to another team member as the new course owner.

am I able to do it without removing their seat? I don't want them to lose any of their work - or would there be no down side to doing it this way?

The important step is to assign all their courses to another team member as the new course owner. Then no courses will be lost.

Can you just make the 2nd user a manager of the course? We have the practice of the owner/creator of a course adding collaborators in the role of a "course manager." The collaborator in the "manager" role can still edit and publish the course. There is no fast way to assign a collaborator to multiple courses at once.

I would love to see some changes in functionality here:
1) Allow account admin to transfer ownership of individual courses (owner is not leaving the company, but is away on holidays, so I have no way of obtaining ownership of the one course I need to own).
2) When employee leaves the company, account admin should be able to select courses to bulk transfer groups of courses to new owners (not ALL to one new owner). - NadineLacelle-1Community Member
Similar to your question above, I recently experienced an license change/transfer. And I assumed that since my user ID and password was not changing, that I wouldnt have assign a new owner to that course, but now lost access to my courses. Would the admin of our account still have access to those courses? How can I get those two courses back? Also since I downloaded all the source files, is there not a way for my to import them back to Rise?
Hello NadineLacelle-1,
If your admin removed you from a previous Articulate 360 Teams subscription, chances are they transferred your content to someone else on the team before removing you from the seat. You also should have received an email with details about the transfer. I recommend reaching out to the admin of your previous subscription, as they may know to whom your content was transferred. You can also open a case with our support team here if you need help tracking down the content.
Your published Rise 360 source files cannot be imported back into Rise 360 for editing. You'll need to locate your original courses to be able to edit and publish them again.
