Transfer ownership of rise course

As an admin, how do i transfer ownership of a course from one employee to another without subsequently deactivating their account?

ex: Employee 1 is on maternity leave and created a course, Employee 2 needs to make edits to the course but no one has visibility to it. I don't want to deactivate Employee 1's account but need to transfer ownership so it's shared.

How do I do this?

  • am I able to do it without removing their seat? I don't want them to lose any of their work - or would there be no down side to doing it this way?

      The important step is to assign all their courses to another team member as the new course owner. Then no courses will be lost.

  • Can you just make the 2nd user a manager of the course? We have the practice of the owner/creator of a course adding collaborators in the role of a "course manager." The collaborator in the "manager" role can still edit and publish the course. There is no fast way to assign a collaborator to multiple courses at once.
