Transitioning a slide layer to a new slide and shrinking it??
Hi, Luciana,
Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, I had updated to the latest version of Storyline yesterday just for the purpose of testing this new update.
I had not tried importing the slides into a new Story file, so for testing purposes, I tried that. Yes, when I imported them into a new presentation, all the images came over. The circular arrow was still misshapen, but I disregarded that and tested it as it imported. The Morph function did not come over intact. Nothing morphed between the two slides.
Figuring that the problem might have been that the elements on the second slide did not share the same ID as the ones on the first slide, I tried deleting the elements on the second slide. I fixed the arrow on the first slide and copied all the elements I wanted to morph, and pasted them onto the second slide. Then I resized and re-positioned them where I wanted them to be. I tested again, and ONLY the Munsel color system (the multi-colored image) morphed, even though all the elements had IDs that matched from one slide to the next.
I'm attaching the Story file for your review. As you can see, it is NOT going to be a smooth transition between PPT and Storyline as you advertised. If I want morphed transitions in Storyline, I will have to plan to build them from scratch, and I still cannot be assured that it will work as I would expect it to work.
Hi JuliaAllen-1574,
Thanks for the additional information. I wanted to share that PowerPoint morph transitions are supported in Storyline 360 and will be imported. However, certain elements, like images that use morph, may not work as expected. I did check the object IDs of the arcs in your slides, and the arcs in both slides do use the same IDs, indicating that the morph transition should work. I've opened a support case so we can have a support engineer test if you're running into an issue with the morph transition feature or a limitation of the PowerPoint import process. Please keep an eye out for an email from our team in your inbox!
