Translation for Custom Blocks, Code Blocks, and Text-to-speech
The custom blocks are not being translated with the localization translation. What is the best way to manage the translation? I just tried to replace the custom block text in one of the translated versions but found that it changed the text in the English version as well. I don't want to have to download an XLIFF file for the entire course for one or two custom blocks, so I'm hoping there is a work around?
Hi Holly_G!
Thanks for reaching out!
As others have mentioned, Custom Blocks are currently not supported by Rise 360 Localization. We understand this may feel limiting, and we've shared your feedback directly with our product team. Also, I see that my teammate Robert is helping you explore possible workaround solutions, through a support case.
We can continue the conversation there to keep all information in one spot.

I know they're not supported, that's why I'm asking for a work around. The resolution in the support case was to publish each separately which is what we're paying for this to avoid having to do, or export the XLIFF file. I responded to the ticket letting him know that there was no option to export the XLIFF but I have not heard back yet. It sounds like there's just no work around and that I should redo the custom blocks but now I can't do anything in the translated course because it's telling me that I used all my translations and I can't update it, for which I opened another ticket but haven't heard back. :(

Hi Holly_G!
Thanks for following up!
I've updated your case with the feedback you shared, so Robert can be kept in the loop. I see that your latest message to Robert was received earlier today. We do have a 24-hour turn around time for support case e-mails.
No worries! You should be hearing from him shortly!
