Trigger panel freezing while working in Storyline
Hi everyone,
This last week, I've been experiencing a very strange problem while working in Storyline. About 10-15 minutes into working on a project file, the trigger panel will suddenly freeze. Once it's frozen on a single slide, it doesn't matter which slide I click on, the trigger panel won't change. As such, I can no longer edit triggers. As someone who works in Storyline for hours a day, it has been a pretty big problem! The only thing that solves it is exiting out of the file, then restarting my computer and reopening the file. But even then, the file will only work for some time before the problem starts again.
So far I have tried the following:
- Downloading the latest update
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Storyline
- Importing the slides into a new project file (unfortunately, it's happening in all my project files, not just one)
I have also contacted Storyline support but so far they have been unable to solve the issue. As such, I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone else had a similar issue or ideas for fixes.
Thanks,
Allyson

Hi AllysonBriner-f!
I'm sorry to hear you've run into these setbacks, while authoring in Storyline!
I see that you're deep into the troubleshooting with my teammate Darrell. It looks like he replied to your e-mail, sharing additional insight on this behavior.
We can continue the conversation through your case, but I'll also open the floor to other community members to share their input too!

Yes, I must reiterate that I am very thankful for the ongoing support from Storyline. However, since this is a pretty high stakes issue for me and none of the proposed suggestions have worked so far, I figured I would open up the question to the community to see if anyone has ideas for fixes. To be honest, I'm getting a bit desperate to find a solution, since having to restart my computer every time I want to edit triggers is not a sustainable way of working!

I think rolling back is the best solution, or if you close and reopen it should resolve
