Trigger Wizard laggy editing values
I experience lag with the trigger wizard. Is it just me, or does everybody have this problem? (clearly some, but these are a few years old)
The wizard does work, just ... eventually. Triggers and especially those with javascript are especially slow to test as they require publishing and testing outside SL anyway (since the preview can't handle script), this lag just adds considerable time to development when added up over a project.
I just followed a support instruction fully uninstall and reinstall Storyline from my PC + reboot + reinstall because of SL crashes. The trigger wizard hasn't gotten any faster - the interface lags.
I'm on Win 11 Pro, 16GB ram, 3.2Ghz cpu, m.2 nvme - everything else is still snappy.
Hi Tim,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this behavior.
If you're already working locally when making changes to your project file, I recommend doing a more comprehensive repair of Storyline 360 by following the steps in this article:
If the issue persists, open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening.

It's not just you. Takes six seconds for each action. Annoying! Just updated to latest Storyline 18.3, same issue. Storyline v3.68.28887.0

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you are experiencing lag when using the trigger wizard. I'd be happy to work with you to figure out why this is happening! I have a couple of follow-up questions regarding the situation so I can better understand what's going on.
- Have you experienced lag while using the latest version of Storyline (Build 3.76.30446.0)?
- Are you working from a shared drive? If so, I recommend saving your files on your local drive before creating, editing, and publishing them. This will help minimize any unexpected behavior.
I look forward to your response!

I do not have build 3.76... and the Articulate360 app does not offer me an update. How do I get the latest build?
Hello Aaron,
No worries! Here's an article that walks you through step-by-step how you can update your authoring apps:
If you are not seeing an "Update Available" notation next to the Storyline 360 App, please double-check the Other Versions section of the Storyline 360 app in order to install the latest version.
Here's a quick look at how you can get to this on your end:
If your Articulate 360 App needs an update as well, it will notify you prior to installing Storyline 360.
Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
