Trouble when copy pasting slides from one story to another...
When I copy paste slides from one storyline to another, all the pictures are missing. Though the image is missing, I can see the rectangle frame for each pic. I tried both source formatting and destination formatting option.
Should I manually replace and time every image now? Or is there an easy work around?
Thanks a lot for helping me out!

Hi Aaron,
Can you tell me more about what's happening when importing slides from one project to another? Are the slides appearing blank?
Also...
- What version of Storyline are you using?
- Are you working from your local hard drive?
- Are you following these steps when importing?
Thanks!

Hi Alyssa,
When importing I get blank spaces.
I believe the images are corrupted, as before importing the slide I changed some of the images.
The pictures changed in the presentation but the filenames didn't change, so when I try to import it looks as if it is looking for the wrong filename.
I'm using Storyline 3 and yes I am working on hard drive
I have added the example, try changing the image and see if the filename changes
Thanks
Thanks, Aaron. I do see when using the "Change Picture" feature that the file name doesn't change. It does seem that those images files could be corrupt. Are you able to replace the images using Insert >> Images feature instead?

I have same problem for quiz. which I need to change to another scene, all the setting in quiz is gone..
Hi Madeline!
It sounds like you may have moved quiz slides from one scene to another, and the settings were lost in the process. Can you tell me more about what happened?
Also, what version of Storyline are you using?

I am having this problem - did it get solved anywhere? (losing formatting of quiz when importing into new scene)

I'm suffering this problem. Importing the whole slide does work but is a horrible workaround. Please fix this fundamental error. Copy/Paste is a staple requirement for anything on a computer!

Hi all-
I have had similar problems in the past. Happening again in a couple of courses I'm working on.
I also tried the import. I doesn't work properly for me either. When copy/pasting, I at least get the thumbnails--when importing I don't even get those. Audio is missing as well.
As mentioned in the thread, you can click on the "images" even though there isn't anything there, so I've simply been right click->Change picture to re-import the image. That way it retains the scaling/positioning/timing/animations/etc. Not a fix, but more efficient than having to adjust all that stuff over and over.
Thanks,

Okay, looking at this thread got me thinking...
Perhaps the corruption was in the course I was importing to rather than from.So let's say I have:
- Course_A: the course I want to copy the additional pages to
- Course_B: the course I am copying the additional pages from
I created a new blank file (Course_C) with same the dimensions as Course _A, and then imported Course_A into it--in effect, creating a copy of the course.
Then I imported the slides I wanted from Course_B into Course_C.
So far, it appears to have worked properly. - JosStappenbeldCommunity Member
Hi Jos and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing with your slides.
Is the story size the same in both projects?
Would you be able to share your .story file so that we can take a look at importing as well? You can share it privately with our team here and it will be deleted when troubleshooting is completed.

Hello Leslie,
Thank you for your reaction.
After I send my issue I found a way to copy and past slides from one to another story.
I opened the program two times and then I copied and past from one to another. That's working perfect.I will check your advice, Is the story size the same in both projects?, And then try again.
For now my problem is solved.
Have a nive day!!
