Trouble when copy pasting slides from one story to another...
When I copy paste slides from one storyline to another, all the pictures are missing. Though the image is missing, I can see the rectangle frame for each pic. I tried both source formatting and destination formatting option.
Should I manually replace and time every image now? Or is there an easy work around?
Thanks a lot for helping me out!

hello there,
we had the same problem. I found the solution in my case: the story file name contained special characters (letters from hungarian alphabet) I've renamed the storyfiled, problem solved.
I hope it helps,
Mariann
Thanks Mariann for sharing that solution here - and just for anyone else who comes cross the thread I wanted to point to this article which references not using special characters, accented characters, or symbols in your file name or path.

I'm having this same problem. Is there a newer fix to this problem not listed above? My file names do not have special characters.
Hi Laurel!
Did you check out the information above regarding importing the content vs copy/paste? That's typically what we would advise.
Hi Laurel,
This thread is quite old. Did you confirm to also be working on local project files (not a network or shared drive)? I generally also don't recommend copying and pasting slides between projects but instead using the import process.

Thank you Leslie and Ashley for responding. Yes, I had read through the above before posting. I guess I'm asking again because this thread is old and I have just experienced this problem for the first time. Importing an entire project is difficult when you just want one slide out of a file. I was hoping that maybe the issue itself had been fixed by now.
Hi Laurel! You don't have to import the entire file :) I recorded a quick video here to assist you in selecting the single slide that you may want.

Wow Leslie, that is so helpful! Thank you so much for recording a video to help answer my question. I really appreciate it, and will follow the import process for single slides as you suggest moving forward. Thanks again!!
Glad to be able to assist :)
