Unable to revisit content after quiz
Hi Amanda-Gunning,
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand you are using Rise 360 and would like to include button navigation to help your learners get around without using the sidebar navigation.
- What are your current Quiz Settings?
- Since you shared folks can't advance to the next section, I'm curious if you need to change Require Passing Score To Continue to be toggled Off.
- You mentioned needing custom navigation depending on who views the course and that you've inserted buttons. In Rise 360, Button blocks or button stacks could be an excellent block type try! This feature allows you to create a more interactive and engaging experience for learners by letting them jump to different lessons or sections within the course. Here's how:
- Insert a Button Block or Stack: Add a button block or stack in your lesson where you want learners to have navigation options.
- Choose a Destination: For each button, select a destination. This can be another lesson within the same course or an external web page.
- Branching Scenarios: Use button blocks to create branching scenarios, where learners make decisions that lead them to different parts of the course.
- I'd like to walk you through my adjustments for your reference!
If you're looking for something different, please let us know! Feel free to share a link to a copy of your course in this thread so we can better understand your setup.
In the meantime, I'm curious to see if others in the community can share what has worked well for them when creating a course with custom navigation and no sidebar!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi there thanks so much for the reply. I am using the buttons as you describe above in the module. I don't have Require passing score to continue set. What happens is when the user has done all their sections (e.g. 7 of 9) and gets to the end and fails the test, the result page is displayed. With no menu or lesson headers active, they have no way to get back to the content to review it. I would like to add a button to enable them to get back to the other lessons at this point on the results page. Alternatively, if the menu could be set to collapsed by us, then they would not see it until they wanted to look for it. I've had to publish it with the navigation menu on but would be interested to hear if anyone has achieved branching in Rise and enabled users to get back to the menu without the menu showing all the way through the course. Many thanks for any ideas!
