Unused fonts filling up output.min.css

Big course, 250 slides, includes some video, many images.

Loads very slowly when deployed to a network drive. Narrowed it down to size of output.min.css, 45 Mb, (100x size of another course of similar size and complexity).

When looking at output.min.css, I see that many fonts are loaded that not only are not in my course, they are not even available in my list of fonts. "Adobe Song Std" is the biggest culprit, which a web search indicates is Chinese characters. I am using no Chinese in this course. There are numerous other fonts listed in output.min.css which I am not using because they are not even available to me.

How do I get rid of these?

  • Hi JimOwen-f418d1f!

Sorry to hear your Storyline course becomes bloated when publishing to the Web!

I have seen other users report slower loading times, when playing back large Storyline courses containing a lot of media. However, unexpected custom fonts appearing in the published output, is not as common.

In the current version of Storyline, I tested the behavior with a sample course published to HTML. Interestingly, I did not notice any unexpected fonts within my output.min.css folder. I'd like to connect you with our support engineers, so they can work with you directly on this issue. I've opened a support case on your behalf, and sent an e-mail with an upload link you can use to share your .story file.

We can continue the conversation through your case to keep all information in one spot.
