Uploading an Arabic XLIFF File into Rise with Proper Formatting

Hi,

I'm working on uploading an Arabic XLIFF file into RISE (translated from English) and am finding that there are major formatting problems that affect the text. Does anyone have tips and suggestions for making sure Arabic text is uploaded and displayed properly?

Thanks!

Hi Again, And we still have clients and content that needs left  to right language interface support, so any update on the future roadmap for adoption of RTL languages would be appreciated! Thanks, Alyssa!

Thank you Amyssa and Talal for your support. I appreciate a lot. I am unfortunately not technical enough to make it happen by myself, but I will give your advice to a colleague  hoping it will help him :-)
    Have a nice day.

  • Hello Crystal,

    Thanks for your response.

I checked the link you had shared and it seems it could be a workaround (not a completely dependable solution though), as some of them have pointed issues with some bulleted blocks.

If there has been a fix already suggested by some members who invested so much time in finding a solution, why hasn't it been implemented as a feature in Rise 360, yet?

I wished such important features had precedence over some other updates during development.

Just imagine how much manual effort and errors could be reduced with such improvements in features (that would account for several hundreds of collective productive hours if we consider globally).

    Hello Development Team,
    Thanks for your attention/consideration, please.

We spend more time trying to get Arabic to display correctly than all the other languages combined. This has been an issue for years yet it has not been resolved. We have been reduced to finding our own hacks to try and get Arabic to work correctly.  Simply aligning text blocks so the right does not mean it is right to left reading. Having to export the project, hack the html code to rtl then repackage the scorm file is no good if there is no option for proofreaders to access the project unless it is then independently uploaded to a server fro them to view, which most do not have access to. We should be able to upload to Review so that Arabic proof readers have the same experience as any other language proof reader. If there is an issue with English it would have been rectified immediately.
