URGENT error - Results.ScorePoints variable disappeared from project

Good morning!
I experienced a similar problem with disappearing variables this morning and was wondering whether any progress has been made on this issue. In my case, I cut and paste (versus copy/paste) a Results slide and lost the variable.
Using the workaround in this thread, I was able to retrieve the variables, so my immediate issue is addressed; however, I'd love to see this feature working as designed.
