URGENT error - Results.ScorePoints variable disappeared from project

This is the expected behavior for built-in variables. While project variables will remain unless you manually delete them, the built-in ones will depend on what you have added to your project.

If you cut a Results slide, you’re temporarily deleting the slide and triggers and copying it over to a clipboard. Storyline has removed the variables, and when you paste, you’ll see unassigned triggers.

The workaround shared here is the easiest way to achieve what you're trying to do.
