Alex makes some really important points below about the dangers of putting API keys directly into Storyline (security risks, costs, etc.). That has been the biggest blocker for years.
However, there are newer ways to handle this now that abstract the security layer away from the Storyline file.
I’m organizing a pilot for a tool that handles that 'middle layer' automatically so you can just focus on writing the patient scenario, not the code. If anyone is still following this thread and wants to try building a safe AI simulation, let me know.
