Variables in Closed Captions

Hi,

I was just wondering if you can put variables into closed captions?

It's one of many scattergun methods i'm wracking my brain on to try to solve the problem i've been assigned;

Can you put language support for every language into a course without manually building it into the course?

If you can't put them in closed captions, what about the notes pane? Basically the thought process is that we could potentially use javascript to send out the text to a translation api which will send it back and adjust the variables to the new language.

Unless anyone has a better idea on how to support translations better.
