Videos to Automatically Play in Rise
Is there a way to have videos automatically start to play in Rise when the user reaches that section of the session?

Not to bring this all back up again, but having the option to autoplay videos would be amazing. I understand that it can be an annoyance for some, but whether to include it should be the choice of the content developer, shouldn't it?
Present-state, we have to rely on dirty workarounds like rewrapping video clips as GIFs to enable autoplay, which looks like junk in high-def.

I have the same question! I would like my embedded videos in Rise to Autoplay. Did you ever receive a solution?

THANK YOU for this GIF suggestion, even if not ideal. This will work great for my animated QRGs.

Hi I have not come across the term “animated QRGs” before.
I tried a google search but could not get a result
Can someone please point me to an explanation?
Many thanks

I save my videos on a blank Storyline slide with autoplay selected, and upload to Articulate Review.
From Rise, I then add a Storyline block and choose the video from Review. Works great for me, and selecting full width and taking the padding off, looks seamless.

You can also import your video into storyline, set up triggers to loop the video and then add the storyline block into Rise. I have found this to be the easiest!

Our large organization would also find value in the autostart/autostop feature. Users ask why do I have to push play on a decorative type video whereas if it were just playing when they arrive to the page it is a nice feature rather than a chore. Please add the feature.
Hi Harry,
Storyline blocks that contain audio or video in the first slide autoplay in Firefox and Microsoft Edge. They don't autoplay in the latest version of Chrome or Safari, or in mobile browsers, due to browser restrictions.

I think there should be an option to have auto play. Would be a great feature to have IMO. Hope it does get enough requests for it and RISE will have it soon.
If I embed an SL file into Rise, does it auto play?

I won't pile on, just want to add my +1 on the please trust us to choose autoplay or not with each video.

My Storyline published ( on Review ) video autoplays in Rise ...but now the client wants it paused at the start ;-) So it should be a player option... autostart on/off..
!! In properties setting autoplay off works. So in Rise it works fine now. - ericbarns-be9e7Community Member
I agree just laid out several steps in a process sequence and now its a waste of time as in the preview when the user clicks forward and as they start reading, then a interruption to the flow as they relies they have to click play. Its simple, enable auto play for publishing to scorm (comply to scorm standards) and warn the minority of eLearning Developer autopay is off for web published content, WIN WIN

You have my vote for adding an autoplay feature as an option.
