The community would be in a better position to share suggestions if you could clarify a few things:

• Which authoring tool are you using to create your content? Is it Rise 360 or Storyline 360?
• Are you asking about creating interactions that do not use question slides or quiz blocks? If yes, could you please share some screenshots or mock-ups, if possible, to help us visualize your requirements?

You can design an activity in Storyline 360 and then display layers with feedback when learners interact with objects on the slide using simple slides - is this more in line with what you're trying to design?
