What button state does review mode use?
When reviewing a quiz, what button state does Storyline use to show the selected answer? I need to change the color of the button in review mode.

Hi Gary,
The states of the choices stay the same when the question is in review mode. The selected answer will still be in the "Selected" state in Review mode.
If you want to change the appearance of the choices when in Review mode, then you can do the following:1) Add a new state on the question choice that you want to change in Review mode.
2) Enable the Review layer on your question slide: go to Form View and add any text in Post-quiz review.
3) On the Review layer, add a trigger to change the state on your choice to the new state you added in step 1.
I hope this helps! - GaryWeinfurtherCommunity Member
Thanks, John. From my observation, review mode actually uses the Hover state by default. I already have a Selected state on my buttons but that's not what appears in review mode. However, your suggestion to add a Review layer is a good one. Thanks again!

John, I tried your suggestion. Here's what happens:
1. Review mode definitely uses the Hover state. I wish it used Selected state.
2. The only way to detect in a Review layer which button was selected is to set a trigger on every button to change its state to Selected if its state is currently Hover.
3. This cannot be done in a Feedback Master, so it has to be duplicated on every test question.
4. There's a bug in Storyline that causes the wrong choice to be shown in Review mode if the Review button (on the Results slide) is in the same screen position as one of the test question choices (on the test question slide). The choice button in the same place as the Review button gets set to its Hover state! So adding a Review layer trigger based on its Hover state also shows the wrong choice.
5. Adding these triggers to the Review layer also causes the button to become active during review mode!
