Which slide is using which master or layout
Is there a way to find out which slides are using a master/layout (also feedback)? In my project I have an old and a new masterslide. Although I have converted all slides to the new master, there is still an indication at some old layouts that they are used by one ore more slides.
I changed the color of the feedback layouts but I cannot find these changes on the slides.
In ppt there is an indication which slides are using a layout, but in SL I can only see how many slides are using a particular layout
Thanks voor advise!

Hi Greg,
Great to read that my 'historic' post helped you! That's where forums like this are for.Articulate does not seem in a hurry to fix small changes like this (low hanging fruits) and the only way seems to be feature requests.

Is there a way to find out which slides are using a specific Feedback master or layout?
The Feedback Master view show that the master slide 'Accessible' is used by 11 slides, but I have really no idea which. The same for the sub layouts (of the theme Accessible).
Hi Jeroen,
One quick way to do this is to change the background color of the Feedback master to a distinguishable color. You can also place an object that can easily be seen in a location that is not covered to help you locate which slides/layers are using the layout.
Feel free to share a copy of your project file here so I can help make the changes so the slides/layers that use the layout are identifiable.

Hello Jose,
I did what you describe and have been able te remove 10 out of 11 references to the feedback layouts of the theme Accessible. So just one left :-/.
I checked every slide manually, but despite of that Storyline keeps saying that one slide is using the theme Accessible. I do see that in some slides it's still possible to select on of the layouts of the theme Accessible, but as far as I can tell, it's not in use in one of them. Do you know another trick to identify that one slide?
The project file is almost 1 GB in size, so I think it's not a good idee to share it here on the forum :-).
Thanks, Verhoeckx

See my reply to this discussion I made 6 years ago...

Found it!
The Feedback Layout wasn't used on any of the slides in the presentation, but on a slide in the Question Bank :-( !
This is what I did to find it:
1. Gave the Feedback Master and layouts a distinguishable name (the random word 'extraterrestrial'.
2. Saved the file. created a copy of the story-file, changed the extension from story to zip and extracted the file.
3. Searched for the word 'extraterrestrial' in the File Explorer.
4. Found the XML-files belonging to the Feedback master and layouts.
5. Searched for the property 'InternalG' (as you (Chris) described)
6. Searched for the given value.
7. Found the XML-file belonging to slide.
8. In the XML-file I couldn't find the name of the slides, but did found some text.
9. Copied that text and searched for it in Storyline.
10. Found it was in a question in the Question Bank (which I don't use, but I remember trying it out).
And so we keep ourselves busy :-)!

Glad my old post helped. You can add feature request to Articulate and ask them to add a function that shows the names of the slides that use a lay-out
