Why no auto-save?

Is there a reason why an application that has a tendency to crash does not have an auto-save feature in the year 2024? It can be very frustrating losing minutes of work just because the application inexplicably crashed (didn't even freeze for several seconds like it usually does before crashing out). I can't (or remember to) save every second, you know?

    As long as you have Saved the project once - then, the auto recover feature saves every 10 minutes by default.

    You can edit that as well under File>Storyline Options
