Where and how can I look to make sure my Auto Save is working?

There is no autosave only recovery. A new file has to be saved to activate recovery. You can set the frequency in the Storyline menu.

Here's where you can set the frequency of autosaving in Storyline 360. You'll also want to ensure you're working locally when saving your project; otherwise, you might experience data loss.
That's no autosave. Why is Articulate so behind in basic features like auto save? The ability to turn off "Do You Want Save" when closing even though you've done nothing or recently saved?
