Writing notes in different layers

Good day,

I have a slide with 6 layers, and I am wandering how can I put notes that are vary from one layer to another. As when I put note it shows in all the layers of this slide.

Regards

  • Hi Rana,

Currently it's not possible to put notes in different layers, but many people have requested that feature. Perhaps you'd like to do so as well.

I didn't realize this feature was requested 5 years ago. So yes, this is a feature I would love to have as well. It makes it difficult for the voice over person to distinguish between what to read and what not to read. Please see if we can get this feature in as soon as programmatically possible. :)

Is this still the same or has this change as I need to have different notes on each slide for me voice over person.

  • Hello, Maree. Thanks for adding your voice!

Notes are still slide specific, so each layer will show the same set of notes text. I'll share your insight with the team, and promise to notify you if there's any change to how the Notes tab and slide layers communicate

In the meantime, a few approaches!

    • Use markers for the transcript. That would allow you to break up the transcript layer by layer.
    • Split the slide layers up into their own slides.
    • Add a button on each slide layer with a link to a lightbox with the relevant text. That way, learners can view the text associated with each layer.

Could any of these work for what you are looking to do?

  • Notes for each layer would allow better use of graphics space in the player.
