YouTube videos in Rise

I am trying to embed a Youtube video in Rise but once it is in the course the title and description of the video from Youtube show up as well. Is there a way to remove this so the learner only sees the video and not the video description?

  • Hi Megan!

It looks like you used a Multimedia Embed block. Hover over that block, and click the Edit button. Then, un-check the option for Show metadata. That should do the trick!

  • Hi Craig!

Just copy the URL to the YouTube video, and paste the URL into a Multimedia Embed block. Let me know if that works for you!

  • Hi.. I'm adding a video from Youtube to my Rise course. I only want people who take the Rise course to see it. Should I mark it as private and then embed it in Rise or make it unlisted?

    Thanks,

    KK

  • Hi Kandice! Good question, to make sure only your Rise learners have access to the video but it isn't public on YouTube, please keep it unlisted.

  • Hello Megan!

I have great news to share! We are no longer seeing this bug where the Metadata Cannot be Disabled when Inserting a URL for a Video in Labeled Graphic.

Please let us know if you’re still noticing the issue, and we’ll be happy to continue troubleshooting with you in a support case.
