My name is George and I reside on the sunny Gold Coast Australia.
After a 35 year career as an airline captain, I now focus on instructional design, and leverage SL360 heavily.
I am engaged by an Australian private registered training organisation (RTO).
The Aussie VET sector is unique, being controlled by the Federal Govt. ... Who ever thought that was a good idea?
As such it is bound by red tape.
Various industry peak bodies and high level stakeholders submit information the the Jobs and Skill Councils (JSC).
The JSC then design training packages which contain qualifications and unit of competency.
Those packages are approved by the Dept of Employment and Workplace Relation (DEWR).
3rd parties and RTO's may then develop courses according to the rules laid down in the Training Package Organising Framework.
The RTO's can then deliver these, but is regularly audited by the Aust. Skills Quality Authority, to ensure they meet the Standards for RTO 2026.
Why mention this?
Simply - there is not yet any AI tool that can take a unit of competency (as published) and write a robust course and compliant assessment, for it!
The upside ... I have a job, for a while yet!

I'm Veronica. I live in Australia where I work as an independent elearning designer and developer. I learnt everything about my job pretty much here, in the ELH community. I use Storyline as my main tool, and I try to keep up with the ever-evolving technology. 

Most of my work is with corporate clients and government departments here in Oz.

I'm a freelance technical writer, instructional designer, and eLearning developer. My business name is White Plume Communications—hence the feathered hat in my profile photo.

In 2011, I started working with Articulate Studio. That was followed by Storyline 1, 2, and 3, leading eventually to Articulate 360, including Rise.

To me, a fabulous Articulate "feature" has always been this community. I got to learn from some of the best. Now I do what I can to pay it forward. (You can find links to my webinars, primers, and tips here.)

As for hobbies, I read non-fiction and fiction, put together jigsaw puzzles, and attend the theatre.

Oh, and I also like to embroider. I stitched the attached example back in the '80s. More recently, I've been refashioning artworks (mostly Van Gogh) on neckties.

Hi everyone, I'm Karl.

I'm passionate about Instructional Design and effective teaching with technology.

When I started in this field it was called Computer-based Training (CBT). This was long before the Internet, when PC's had only 16 colors and there was no audio or digital video! There were very few people working in this field, so one person had to do everything: project management, ID, media development, programming and course development.

I've worked in very diverse fields including K-12, Oil & Gas, Military sector, Post Secondary, and everything in between. I have been using Articulate products for just more than 8 years, and I'm a frequent poster on the forums. 

In my current role I wear several hats: Project Lead, Instructional Designer, LMS Administrator, and mentoring new team members. Although I have been doing this for years, I learn every day, and still enjoy my job!

Hello Everybody!  I'm Patti.  I work for an automotive manufacture and have been here for 25 years. Hard to believe it's been that long!  My role is creating, developing and deploying EHS and Quality training for our facility.  Since we are a small facility, this is not my only role so I was elated when I found Articulate 365.  It helped me take some of the guess work out of creating visually appealing and engaging training and focus on the content.  I try to find creative ways to structure the content so it applies to what they actually do and not broad generic content.  It can be challenging as we are a forging company and their isn't a lot of graphical content that applies to us. Articulate helped with that when AI was introduced, it's helped polish my plant photo's into something useful for the training. 

I am very grateful for all the experienced community members participating and proving valuable information for those of us who are not actual instructional designers but have been thrown into that role along with 5 other roles.🙃  I look forward to growing with you all and hopefully I'll be able to be a bit more active in the future.

Outside of work I enjoy taking motorcycle trips with my boyfriend, my goal is to hit all 50 states!  I'm at about 15 currently, a long way to go.  I also would not be complete without my little boy, Raider!  He is my 1st dog and will be turning 6 in a few weeks.  I never realized how raising and training a dog was like bringing up a child. 😝  He makes me laugh every day as he has his own goofy quirks and does not follow what the professionals say about his breed.

I have recently taking up paper crafting to try to expand my creative side.  I've been at it about 9 months and found comfort and joy in creating things with my hands.

I use Rise most often, but would like to grow my comfort level with Storyline and I am also really looking forward to exploring the new AI features that were just released!

Hi, I’m Mia! 👋 I’m an instructional designer based in Reston, Virginia, and I’m passionate about creating eLearning that people actually want to experience.

I love the space where learning science, storytelling, visual design, and technology come together. I’m especially fascinated by AI and the question I keep asking is, “How can this make learning better, smarter, and more human?”

I’m the kind of person who can happily spend way too much time tweaking one interaction, testing a new AI tool, or redesigning something simply because I know it can feel better. 😄 I love turning messy ideas into clear learning experiences, experimenting with new tools, and finding that little spark that makes a course feel less like training and more like an experience.

Outside of building learning, I’m usually collecting ideas, noticing good design everywhere, or mentally turning everyday moments into potential learning activities.

I am an Instructional Designer at Jacksonville University (FL).  Before stepping through the looking glass into Instructional Design Wonderland, I was a professor of Forensic Science.  Sometimes my job at JU is to be Cheshire Cat, assisting professors along on their teaching journey.  Other times I am the Mad Hatter, dreaming up wild things to try in their classes.  And I am blessed to be surrounded by professors that encourage me to dive down odd rabbit holes.  I often tell my boss I would be happy just to build interactives and games in Storyline all day!  But alas some days I must be Alice in the real world building courses in Blackboard.

When I am not working, I am an avid scuba diver frolicking in an underwater Wonderland.

Hello, World!

My name is Nedim, and I’m an eLearning developer based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe. I’ve been a longtime member of this community, and I’ll share a little bit about myself.

My background is actually in web development. Earlier in my career, I worked on building our company’s internal course builder and custom LMS, which gave me a solid foundation in both development and eLearning.

As I started working with new clients, more and more of them were requesting courses to be built specifically in Storyline. That’s how I gradually discovered Articulate Storyline, and it quickly became much more than just another tool in my toolbox. I spent some time going back and forth between Storyline, Lectora, and Adobe Captivate, but eventually I found my way back to Storyline. And it stuck.

Today, Storyline is my playground and, in a way, a second hobby I’ve fallen in love with. And when I’m not crafting courses, you’ll probably find me somewhere out on a hiking trail with my wife, recharging in nature and gathering inspiration for the next big idea. Some of my best course concepts have been sparked somewhere between mile three and a mountain view!
