Adult Learning
Hi Andrew and Noele,
The outcome was to review the content and I was trying to find any information that would be more complex. I've already presented and it went well, although there was nothing new to report. I do appreciate your comments!
When you say they have a good foundation, could it be a session how to decide which adult learning principles to use based on the content and audience sophistication? For example, we're doing a module on Bloodborne Pathogens for entry level new hires. Should this be: Experiential, Transformational, Action, Connectivism, Project Based? How do you decide what kinds of activities to do to reinforce the level of sophistication the learner needs to demonstrate after completing the learning experience? Do we want to change Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, or Attitudes, what is the best way to do each of those? What would be the implications of different kinds of activities and how would they be perceived by different audiences? You could have the audience provide the examples and work through it as groups and then have them rate/compare which worked best and why.
