elearning as an evidence package for legal team
Something I haven't seen mentioned yet in this thread is version. When legal pulls a completion record, they'll eventually ask which revision of the course the learner went through, and that's the field that tends to vanish from LMS exports. I've taken to putting the revision number right in the course title since the title survives into every export I've worked with. How are you handling updates when a course changes mid-cycle?
Hi Kyle, that's a great recommendation to put the version right in the title. We store every version separately with all of our documentation so that we have it by dates for our legal team. Our LMS also provides us a report by version number of each course on a learner's transcript so we can ensure we are providing the correct version of a course that was completed. The documents we keep are that version of the course in Rise or Storyline, the published word or pdf version and a text version of the entire course. Each version has its own folder with a standard naming convention so we can keep track of them.
