Hide “Previous” button on the first question slide when randomly shuffling from a question bank
Hi there, I’m currently building question slides using a question bank and would like each slide to feature both “Previous” and “Next” buttons—except for the first slide, which should only display the “Next” button. I’m trying to achieve this while allowing the questions to be randomly shuffled, without having to fix the first question manually. Is this setup possible?

Hi dwyoo113,
Thanks for reaching out! At the moment, Storyline doesn’t have a built-in way to automatically hide the “Previous” button on the first question when slides are randomly drawn from a question bank. You’d need to manually control which slide appears first or use custom triggers as a workaround.
I can see how helpful it would be for Storyline to handle this automatically, so I’ve shared your request with our product team for consideration in a future update.

Hi @ EricSantos, thank you for your reply. I will go with a custom trigger associated with the slide page. 👍
