Ideas for Quiz to Master Analytics Dashboard & Value Storytelling
We need to develop a quiz or interactive activity to assess Customer Success Managers' (CSMs) proficiency in interpreting data from a new analytics dashboard. This dashboard highlights specific value metrics that our product delivers compared to competitors. The goal is for CSMs to translate these insights into a compelling value narrative to share with customers.
For instance, the dashboard might display information such as: "Our feature 'X' has completed this many tasks, saving you 'Y' amount of time and generating 'Z' amount of revenue," while also showing that competitors charge extra for similar capabilities.
The dashboard offers numerous data points, and CSMs must be able to prioritize and synthesize these into a coherent value story.
Our plan is to present customer scenarios with sample data, then test CSMs using multiple-choice questions. Each question will include a combination of three data points, and CSMs will need to select the correct combination that best supports a value narrative.
I am pretty fluent in Rise but know that the activity options are limited. But if Storyline could address this need in a better way I'd be willing to invest the time. Curious if anyone has any ideas or similar projects they've worked on and wouldn't mind sharing.

I can see Storyline as a good path for what you are trying to accomplish.
In Storyline, this could look like:
- Letting learners explore a dashboard mockup and choose which metrics to pull into their story
- Let learners pick and order the metrics they’d use, then show different feedback depending on how strong their overall value story is.
- Give specific coaching feedback instead of just right/wrong.

Another idea, if you wanted to stick with Rise but try to push it to do more, would be to explore the Code Block feature. We actually have a Build-a-thon going on next week, so I am hoping there will be lots of fresh code block examples to review after that.
