Knowledge Assessment
Does Storyline have the ability to have a question bank and create a Knowledge Assessment that pulls questions from this bank? (We created a sample, but it is letting us skip through and submit. Score is a zero. We do not want the learner to be able to submit without answering all the questions)
These are some issues we are looking to address.
- One option is to make sure learner cannot proceed if they have not answered a question.
- Second scenario, they can skip questions but when they hit that submit button, they should get an alert that not all questions were answered and a pop-up shows them the questions that were skipped.
Not leaning towards any one of these options but would like it to be least complicated and easy to replicate...which I think would be option 1.
We would like to keep the scoring functionality because learner has to score 80% or more and this will need to be communicated to our LMS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
By default, a graded-question slide will show an "Invalid Answer" warning if the user clicks the Submit button without selecting any of the responses. In other words, that built-in functionality requires the user to answer a question before they can move on to another question.
It's impossible to judge what's going wrong with your sample just based on your description. I suggest you look over the User Guide articles about quiz slides and question banks.
For future reference, this Exchange Best Practices section is for general questions about eLearning. You’re asking how to do something in the software. That type of question is a better fit in the Discuss Articulate Products section of the website. That's where those of us who regularly answer questions about how to use the software spend more of our time. And that's where more folks go to search for answers specifically related to Storyline, Rise, and other parts of Articulate 360.
