Limiting Quiz Attempts, Missing Trigger Options
Hello!
I'm trying to limit the number of times a learner can attempt a quiz to 3. I'm following the instructions in this article. :https://community.articulate.com/kb/user-guides/storyline-360-limiting-quiz-attempts/1141060
I've created my variable but when I try to add the trigger I only have two options for adjusting the variable - set and toggle. I can't add a value to the trigger. See the attached screenshot. Walked through it with my coworker and he is able to choose add to the adjust variable trigger.
I appreciate any assistance! Thanks!

I'm able to accomplish this in other SL projects just not the one I'm working on. Not sure why??

The trigger in the image you posted is for adjusting a T/F variable. That type of variable can only be set (i.e., change it to True or to False) or toggled (i.e., change it to the opposite of what it currently is).
For counting, you need to use a number variable. Those can be set to a specific value, or you use math operators.
