Rise AI features - Help please!
I recently had some downtime and decided to use it as a learning opportunity. I began exploring how to add text-to-speech to Rise lessons, especially in light of recent accessibility mandates. While I am still learning, I wanted to share a few challenges I have encountered and invite others to share their insights.
First, when I add TTS to a content block that contains only text, the audio does not play automatically. Learners have to click the play button each time they want to hear the content.
Second, there does not appear to be an option to add TTS to the lesson introduction. The feature seems to be limited to content blocks, which means the introduction remains silent unless another workaround is used.
Third, interactive blocks such as flashcards, sorting activities, and scenarios do not support TTS. If we want narrated interactions, we need to build them in Storyline and embed them into Rise.
I am still figuring things out, but if anyone has tips, workarounds, or experience using TTS in Rise, I would love to hear from you. Please share your insights so we can learn together and make our lessons more accessible and engaging.

Accessibility guidelines, like W3C's Success Criterion 1.4.2 Audio Control, recommend that audio does not start automatically to avoid interfering with users, especially those using screen readers or cognitive assistants.
