Template Scenario?

I find it hard to understand how to use the Scenario block for relatively more complex scenarios. What do i mean by that?

Well... i want a scenario (for example: About person X). When i present X:s dilemma and then put the first questions in, like 3 diffrent cchoises for answers. After that i want the answers to take them at different paths. But i dont understand how to create that in the actual block settings.

I have tried to look att all the tutorials you have but still doesent get it how i create the actual content tree.

So if anyone has a template for scenario block i would be so thankfull.

    Hello Johann,

I second what JudyNollet shared - seeing where those Go to links live is part of it.

To build on that, I've found it really helpful to think of the Scenario block as a logic puzzle. Until you get the Content Tree structure down, it can feel a bit overwhelming, but it helps to think of it as a dynamic branching map rather than just a linear list.

To build out those different paths for Person X, try this approach:

    1. Define your logic flow: Before building in Rise, outline your decision points.

Example: If a learner chooses Option A, which specific result or follow-up conversation should they see next?

Having a clear mental (or digital) flowchart makes the setup much faster.

    2. Build your Scenes: In the Scenario block, use +Add Scene for every unique outcome or different path. Name them specifically (e.g., Positive Outcome, Corrective Feedback, or Alternative Path) so they are easy to identify in the menu.
    3. Link the Branching: This is the key step. Go to your Question block and look at the Go to dropdown menu under each answer. Change it from Next Content to the specific Scene you created in the previous step. This is how you physically branch the learner away from the default path.
    4. Close the Loop: Ensure every path eventually leads to a final Summary/Conclusion scene so the learner can complete the interaction regardless of the path they take.

For a deeper dive into the technical setup, check out this guide on Designing Branching Scenarios in Rise, which breaks it down step-by-step.

Hope this is what you are looking for :)

  • I don't know have scenario block to share. But this screenshot from an old example might help. The red boxes highlight where you adjust the path for a given response.
