Articulate Review - Hosting and GDPR

Mar 19, 2019

Hi there, I am hoping that you can help.

I am currently working with a client and we intend to use Articulate Review to gather feedback on courses. Part of this work/contract requires information on hosting etc for security purposes. Can I ask where Articulate courses are uploaded to when in Review?

  • Where is the hosting based?
  • Is there a security policy in place?
  • Is the data backed up or copied?

Kind Regards

Excellent questions, Stuart! I'm happy to help answer them.

  • Where is the hosting based?
Articulate 360 services are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US-East-1 region located in northern Virginia in the United States. We secure data on our servers and network traffic with the most advanced encryption technology publicly available, 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption and 2048-bit RSA public keys.
  • Is there a security policy in place?
Yes! Visit the links below to learn more about our commitment to security and privacy.
  • Is the data backed up or copied?
As part of our business continuity plans, in the case of disaster, we do practice automated, routine, and frequent data backup and recovery. We encrypt our data backups, and they are stored redundantly across three physically isolated and resource independent locations to ensure high availability.
