New in Review 360: Request Review
Are you sick of chasing down stakeholders to get them to review your courses? If so, you’re going to love being able to request and track reviews directly in Review 360. This handy new option will you save time—and headaches—by eliminating the need for endless back and forth with your stakeholders about where they’re at in the feedback process.
Here’s how it works: When you open a course in Review 360, you’ll see an all-new Review Request button.
Once you’ve selected that button, simply add stakeholder email addresses, share any additional information they might need, choose a due date, and hit Send Request.
From there, Review 360 saves you time by taking over the notification process. It will email reviewers about your project right away. And if you add a due date, it’ll automatically send reminder nudges to your reviewers just before, on, and after that date if they haven’t finished looking over your course.
And that’s not all! You and your stakeholders can now easily see where everyone is in the review process right within Review 360 thanks to the status labels that appear next to each reviewer’s name.
So you won’t need to email stakeholders to check up on them because you’ll already know what’s going on.
If you’re an Articulate 360 subscriber, you can access this new feature immediately in Review 360. And if you don’t have Articulate 360 but want to try out this feature, you can start a free 30-day trial. For more detailed information about this feature, check out this helpful article: Review 360: Request Review.
So let us know what you think of this new Review 360 feature in the comments below.
The Review 360 Team
Hi, everyone!
On behalf of the Review 360 Team, I'd like to thank you all for the valuable feedback. Your suggestions through the beta program guided us to develop additional features, such as:
- Allowing stakeholders to reset their status after completing a review for more flexibility.
- Sending a request to multiple reviewers simultaneously by copying and pasting their email addresses in bulk.
- Boosting the engagement in review request messages with a new text-formatting toolbar.
Request review is no longer in beta, but we're continuing to gather feedback and enhance the feature. You can still share your ideas through this discussion or the in-app "Share You Feedback" link.

Love this feature. Would it be possible to add an approval stage? The review completion might not always mean the reviewers are in a position to "Approve" the course. Having an approval button would make it clearer for the reviewer that no further edits need to be made from their point of view. Other than that a great addition to Review!
@Chris love this, tell me more!
For your workflow are you thinking that "Approve" would replace "Complete"? Would "Approve" be an additional step after "Complete"? Or another way I'm not thinking about?
- PhilMayor-b4ca0Community Member
I think Approve and Complete are two separate things, I would see initial review you would only use complete but for final sign off you would have approve.

Great feature ! Even better would be the option to keep reviewer's feedback hidden from each other (unless needed, of course). Is this something in the development pipeline ?
- AhmedHammadi-cdCommunity Member
I agree. If reviewer's feedback was hidden from others it would save me having to make multiple copies for different stakeholders.
@Rosaria @CPAYG in Scotland that's a really interesting idea! I don't believe that has been brought up before. At least it hasn't been on my radar. I've added this to our feedback list.
Thanks so much for a great idea!

This is a great idea. Please do this Articulate. It is so true that people get caught up in a debate there when you just want them to focus, but other times it can be helpful to have them see other comments. Would be nice on a person by person basis but that might be asking a bit much.

The option to keep feedback private would be incredibly helpful and reduce the amount of course links to manage when you have multiple reviewers (internal & external). Hoping for this feature, thank you!

Happy to hear about this feature! Definitely helps with SME management. Will the notifications also include the guide on how to use Review 360? Some SMEs just email comments back because they didn't realize that there is a commenting feature and that it is making screenshots automatically.

Agreed. I always have to send instructions for first time reviewers
(ie you don't need to log in but will be asked for your eail the first time. Show hide the comments panel etc)

I used to have this issue and so now, when inviting new reviewers, I include screen shots of how to access the existing feedback and add their own comments. I also found many thought they had to buy the software and so put in a note that this was free.
I hope that helps. :-)

This is great! Love being able to track where users are at in the review process. Only suggestion is that it would be great if there was a solution for modules with multiple parts like playlists, folders etc.
@Megan this is great feedback! It's something we've thought about as well.
For anyone else thinking this could improve their workflow use the "Mark as Helpful" button on Megan's comment to let us know!

Looks great, there are a few places I would change. It would be nice to set up a review and then send the email from my work email address rather than direct from review. When I do use review being able to save some templates so I don't have to keep typing the emails. Agree with being able to hide other reviewers comments as I find reviewers fixate on comments rather than reviewing with an open mind. I think the guide should be an option to add in the email.

I love the concept. However, most of our reviewers are not seatholders. Is there a plan to enable this for non-seat holders in the near future as well?

Hi Jaci! You can request reviews from non-seatholders right now!
Simply enter the email of your non-seatholder and click "Add" row in the list. The email will be added to your list of reviewers. The process will be the almost exactly the same for them as a seat holder.

If there is a password, is that shared also? Would be nice to have that included in the notification email.

Hi Rebecca - great question! The Requester has the ability to share a custom message with their Reviewer(s). The password can be included there and will be displayed in the email the Reviewer receives.
- RebeccaRoehm-edCommunity Member
It shouldn't have to be put into the message. It should be automatic or at least the option to add it to the message.
- MarciGomez-LeeCommunity Member
@Rebecca, that is a great suggestion! Usually, I sent out an email with the link and password so having that automated in the notification email will be ideal.

I just tested this for the first time today. I was able to add non-seat holder emails, I was able to customize my note to them for what I wanted.
I think Chris' idea is really important.
So today they are Reviewers for the first edit, they will add comments for me to take a look at and update the module accordingly. Beside their email would be great to see something like: Initial Review complete.
Then we usually do a second review and one of the SME's have approved rights.
So would be great to have a Secondary Review complete, then Approved/Signed Off. When we see this we know we can zip and put into the LMS.
Something like that, so almost like the Reviewer could open up a drop down list to make the selection vs one button.
But I realize I may be asking for too much :) But if you don't ask you don't get :).

What an amazing enhancement, truly taking the user experience (and SME management) to a whole new level.

It would be good if you could add items to the message via checkboxes such as the password.

This!! ☝🏻 This would make this feature a lot better. Being able to automatically include the password. Saves you another minute on writing the mail.
