Best Way to Get VTT files to add to Rise 360

I like Rev.com's AI caption option which is $0.25 /minute and I have found really accurate, has an editor for things that aren't accurate (including Find + Replace, which is great), and download as VTT or other major caption types. 

You can also manually change the file. There are just a few steps to do it. 

• Open the SRT in Notepad
• Add WEBVTT to the top line
• Make sure all of the numbered groups have text
• Replace commas with periods
• Convert file extension to VTT

Sorry, misread the question. If you're using Camtasia, I like their Audiate program, which is great for editing the audio and then you can output the captions. Of course, there's a cost, but it works well and if you do a lot of recording in Camtasia, it's worth it.

Here's something that is free and works well. You can use Whisper AI to convert the audio to text. You need Google Drive access.

Hi, just to close this off. I looked at all the options and decided that I wanted to continue to do this a free way, rather than use Rev.com for now, as my videos are generally around 3 mins - so not to long.

In the end I found an approach that worked for me. It's still more time consuming than I'd like but it ensures accuracy with the captions. In short, I currently do the following:

1. upload my videos to Youtube
2. Youtube creates automatic captions
3. I copy and paste this captions into a note pad and clean them up by putting punctuation in etc
4. I then paste them back into Youtube but use the Autosync option for captions
5. When done, I download as a VTT file
6. I then upload to Rise

This isn't my ideal approach as it's more time consuming than I wanted, but I am happy with the quality of the output it gives, for that little extra work. When I want to pay (or should I say when my company wants to pay), to save my time, I know there are other options available for me, so I'm happy with that.
