Closed Captioning being removed when uploaded into UKG Learning LMS

Feb 03, 2022

Hi there E-learning Heroes!

I need help!  We have been adding closed captioning to our Storyline 360 projects that are then uploaded into our Rise projects.  The Rise projects are then exported as SCORM packages and uploaded into UKG learning.  The closed captions work in 360, and Rise; however once it finds it's way onto our LMS, UKG Learning, some, not all the closed captioning buttons are missing.

In order to get the cc to work in Rise we had to open up our firewall to let certain feeds of info through, could this also be why the cc is missing from the course once in UKG Learning?  Any suggestions for troubleshooting further?

HI Aaron! So sorry closed captions aren't working when you upload to UKG Learning. I would suggest troubleshooting your file in SCORM Cloud to check if the behavior is the same. SCORM Cloud is an industry-standard testing engine that's free and supports AICC, SCORM, Tin Can API (xAPI), and cmi5 content.

This video tutorial demonstrates how to use SCORM Cloud with Articulate content.

If your course works properly in SCORM Cloud but not in your LMS, kindly share your SCORM Cloud findings with your LMS provider to troubleshoot the issue.

If the course encounters the same issue in SCORM Cloud, open a case with us here so that we can investigate.
