Exporting Course is including random images in the assets that arent part of the course

Hi I have exported a course multiple times now and there 20+ images in the assets that are not in the course content. I have checked multiple times and exported as web and scorm and the images are still in the assets. They are quite large file sizes so it is drastically increasing the overall file size. I have never used these images or seem them before which makes it rather strange.

  • I can confirm this. Courses created in the past, including those from a couple of months ago, do not have this issue. On the other hand, newly created courses that have been exported to the SCORM format, irrespective of the version (1.2 or 2004), include random images within the package.

We're seeing the same issue. Random images get added to the SCORM package inflating its size.

I found this, as well. I had a course that ballooned from a 2MB SCORM file to a 50MB SCORM file with 39 images that I did not include in the course, each weighing over 1MB in size.

  • Hi there myAko Limited!

I understand that there are images in the assets folder that are not in the course content when you export your course.

May I know what SCORM format you used?  Would you be able to share a screenshot of the unused images  (with their names) in the Assets folder so that we can investigate?

You can also share the file by opening a case here so that one of our technical support engineers can take a look.

  • I published a new SCORM this morning and I having the same issue with random images being included. These images are ones that I have never used. I went back through some of my previous courses an SCORMs created prior to 10/25/2023 is fine.

I have exported as all available forms of SCORM and getting the same results. I tried again today and still having the same issue.
