Is there a way to remove the landing page navigation so that when a user opens the course it takes them straight into the screen that shows the left side navigation?
See attachments. I would like to remove the navigation shown in image rise1.jpg and have users go straight into rise2.jpg.
There is not a way to get rid of the start page. The only workaround would be to publish your course and then direct your learners to the URL of the second page, which will bypass the start page.
As Anthony mentioned, currently the only way to bypass the start page is by using the workaround he suggested.
That being said, we do have a feature request logged for this capability so I'll go ahead and add your voice to that discussion. We'll notify you via this thread with any updates.
In the meantime, if there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know!
You're welcome! I'd like to clarify that a feature request being logged doesn't mean that it's on our roadmap. It just means that we're considering adding it to the roadmap. If we decide to add it, you'll be notified via this thread.
Quick Question: on The landing page, is there a way to not show the lessons? None of our old courses do, but for some reason, every course we make now shows the lessons. We hide a lot of content in our courses (branching and customized learning) so showing all the lessons/making them clickable is destroying our courses. Please help!
We already hide the sidebar. for some reason, the lessons show up on the landing page under the image. Those are the lessons we want to hide. Any way to do that?
Sorry, Averi; I should have clarified: You'll want to turn the sidebar off to remove the lessons from the course outline. If that's what you've done, and you still see the lessons, would you be willing to share a copy of your course with us for a closer look? Let us know here and reference this discussion link!
Please add my vote. I was using it to author modules (instead of a complete course). I'm hiding the navigation and using the LMS navigation. But the course landing page basically creates an extra no-value click for every single module. It's a poor learner experience.
Regarding the splash page, more flexibility to chunk the lessons by adding headings would be appreciated. I don't want to put all the content together under a single lesson, but I do want to chunk the lessons together, using a heading on the splash page...that would be my ask for the splash page.
I would also like to add my vote to have an option to remove the landing/start page where all the learner does is select the start button. Does anyone know if it is possible to edit the files after publishing or add a line of script that bypasses the landing/start page?

Great. Thank you, Anthony and Allison, for your help. It's encouraging to hear that this enhancement is on your roadmap. Thanks!

Let me know if you have any other questions.
Can you add my voice to this as well?
Of course! :)
Please add me to the request list. I'd heavily utilize this as a feature.
Voice added please..
Thanks for the feedback Erin and Mike! I've added your voices to the feature request. :)
Me too!
Hi Alison,
Any progress on this feature? I would find it very useful.
Thanks
James
Hi there, James. No updates on skipping the course outline at this point. We'll post an update here if that changes.

Hi there, Averi. Hiding the course sidebar in the navigation settings should do the trick for you!
Moi aussi?

Please add my voice to this as well...it seems like it should be relatively low hanging fruit to get to pick which page I start on, no?
Any news on this?

3 years on and no updates... is this still on the roadmap? Is there a copy of this development roadmap published anywhere?

Adding my voice as well. Really need this.
