I built a course in Rise with scenario-based questions, so I turned off the Previous & Next buttons.
But I also want to include a quiz in this course. The problem is, when I finish and pass the quiz there is no way to continue. There is no continue button (and the prev & next buttons are turned off).
Hi Alyssa, my issue is not with the option for a continue buttons as the option is visible, my issue is that the learner does not get the option to continue once they have achieved the required pass grade.
The only option that appears is to try again. See attachement.
Hi Philip, do you get the same results after re-publishing your course? If so, can you share the screenshots of your course navigation settings and quiz settings here? Thanks!
Hi Philip, thanks for sharing your screenshot! I can see that you have disabled the Previous & Next buttons in the settings. You'll need to turn on this option to get the continue button in your quiz. Let me know how it goes!
That was a result of me trying several combinations of the options to see if I could get it to work. Subsequently, I ended up duplicating the whole course and deleted the knowledge check and built again from scratch and it now appears to be working fine.
Alyssa is this supposed to work now with the Side Bar Menu? The use of the Continue Button stays consistent with the flow of how to navigate the course. However I am not seeing it active now since I turned on the Side Bar.
Select the continue button on the quiz settings page, as shown below. Then, be sure the previous and next buttons are turned on in the course settings.
Finally, preview the entire course (not just the quiz), and you'll see the continue button.
I've written on another thread that I followed the instructions and still no continue button. Please help. It's of the utmost importance the learners can continue on.
I didn't see the reply on the other thread but I see where you suggested to clear the cache. I did that and not it appears there's no way to start the course. The down arrow is gone. Help!
Okay! It worked and I was able to change the label. And I figured out the "start" button problem. It was also the labeling.
My next question: Is it my correct understanding that we cannot have the sidebar if we include a next lesson after the quiz? If so, is there anything in the works fo improve that?
My last question: Will the learners also have to clear their cache history in order to make this work? We do not have an LMS.
I am unable to add a continue button or exist course button after the quiz is finished as passed we only get a 'try again' not useful as student has passed. I have read the above and attempted to follow the advice and the continue button style.
Has this been rolled out to all the theme choices yet?
Hi Natalie! The Exit Course button is for LMS output only.
Which theme are you using? I've tested this from my end and the Continue button appears for all three theme styles. Do you see a navigation button when scrolling down from the Quiz Results page?
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the Quiz Results page (entire page) so that we'll have an idea of what your students are seeing?
