we are starting to localize our e-learnings created in Rise 360 to different languages.
Has anyone have experiences with 3rd party translation software for translating Rise courses? Does Articulate plan a built-in translation option in the future?
Hi Balázs! Thanks for your interest in a built-in translation tool in Rise. That feature isn't in our roadmap right now, but if we make changes that will help, we'll update this thread!
When you refer to 'tags', what do you mean? We have noticed that some 'unique encrypted' strings are present in the xlif file after exporting from Rise360.
By tags, we mean these tag words enclosed with an opening "< >" and closing "</ >" (e.g., <file>, <source>, <target>, etc.).
Are these "unique encrypted" strings causing translation issues with your course? If they are, can you send us a copy of the exported XLIFF file privately to our support team here? This should help us investigate what is happening. We'll delete your file as soon as we are done troubleshooting.

Hello there!
I have seen some people in the ELH community have success with this tool: smartcat
They do say to make sure the tags translate properly, as sometimes they tend not to, but the rest of it translates just fine.

I wish you the best of luck in your translating venture!
Thank you very much Clara. :)
Does that mean that Articulate does not plan an own solution for that now?
