Rise course not resuming progress after leaving a course

Nov 30, 2022

I have a Rise course published for LMS on Skillbuilder LMS, but it is not allowing learners to resume their progress after leaving a course. Some blocks in the course are storyline blocks with text entry (questions for learners to complete) and when  learner leaves the course without printing or saving their responses as a pdf (print option in storyline) their work is not being saved. Is this a setting in storyline or Rise or elsewhere?

No one answered me on here so I sent a message to support, this is what they told me in a couple of messages:

Please note that Storyline courses in Rise 360 always start over from the beginning when learners revisit them. You can see this behavior mentioned here:

Your Storyline progress will not be saved when exiting the course or moving to another lesson, so make sure learners complete the Storyline block before moving forward. To ensure that, you can add a continue button requiring learners to complete the Storyline block to proceed. Here's how:

The only limitation is with the resume feature. Learners can still use all the features you've added to your course, like saving or printing PDFs.

I am having a similar issue. The course is bookmarking when leaving half way through. When attempting to review the completed course from my transcript, the lessons are no longer completed. The LMS is SumTotal. Same results when testing in ScormCloud. Is there a Resume setting in Rise like there is in Storyline? My SL block is set to "Always Resume" and has  a completion trigger included.
