Variables / Branching in Rise?

I usually develop global courses in Storyline and use variables to create a branching scenario for tweaked country-specific content. For example, when a learner opens the course, they will select what country they are from, this triggers a true/false variable and content is adjusted via states according. This helps me not have to make up to 7 versions (one per global office) of a course.

Question, I am building a Rise course as I don't have a lot of time for an upcoming training course I need to make and I want my learners to be able to open the course on their mobiles during a ILT session and follow along. Is there a way to create variables / branching in Rise?

Hi Troy,

Love that you're looking at creating courses in Rise and providing other options for your learners! It's truly one of the best Articulate 360 benefits, that you can choose the right tool when you need it. The customization of Rise with variables and branching isn't something built in, but I know that folks like Zsolt have done some really impressive things inside Rise - so you may want to take a look at what he got started and see if he has any specific feedback that could help you.

I also found this article on how the Pros are using Storyline vs. Rise really helpful!

Would love to hear what you come up with and let us know how else we can assist as you dig deeper into all that Articulate 360 has to offer!

Hi Troy,

Our road map is driven by a combination of factors, a big one being your input! So we track things like these forum discussions, official requests here, and what our Success team is hearing at conferences and their discussions with clients. So it's not on the roadmap as I've seen yet, but that is always changing as Rise continues to evolve.

Hi Ashley,

Thanks so much for replying. I must admit, it's one thing I love about Articulate and how actively involve you guys are with us users and vice versa. Thanks for letting me know about the road map.

Keep up the awesome work with Rise; it's amazing. Thanks again!

I want to have learners select their profession and provide a different quiz based on that selection.  I am trying to do this in Rise because I am on a mac.  I do not like the experience of using parallel on my mac so Rise seems to be the only option if I want to use Articulate.  Is there a way to make this happen in Rise?
